South Park IRL

I’ve been a bit quiet on the SouthPark front – I came across this picture searching for the disclaimer (click to enlarge) – I found it on another blog, but the true credit is due here.

I know there are versions of the boys as “real people”, or more “real” at least, used in the series: Free Willyzyx (Episode 13 of Season 9) and even when they turn into imaginatary ninjas in Good Times With Weapons (Episode 1 of  Season 8 (and a personal favourite of mine (BUTTERS!!)). The one used in the series is definitely closer to real life than the one above, and far more effective in my opinion. It is nice to see a bigger group, mind you.

I find when Cartman is a cartoon character he’s nothing but funny – when he’s a little more real I can see how easy he’d be to hate. Look at his smug chops!

The new series is only half-baked and they’re still procrastinating in the meantime – however 200 and 201 are episodes that encapsulate the main reason I love south Park so much – the cosistency is phenomenal for a cartoon. All the family joined in for a cracking two-parter. In my opinion the following episode was a massive flop, but it seems to have gone down like Marmite with the masses. Who knows if they’re going to finish off this series? They say they are, and they’re contracted for at least one more series so fingers crossed!

Matt and Trey push the barrier

South Park is taking a lot of heavy fire following the “Mo in a Bear suit” incident. Many threats have been aired, but as yet nothing conclusive has come to the fore.

One thread of recent “evidence” is that a car bomb was aimed at Viacom (the parent company of South Park). Fortunately no-one was hurt, and we’ll still be able to watch South Park for the time being. Let’s hope there’s a bit of luck on the religious front for our two cartoon gurus.

“Police have so far received over 120 tips, three of which are being considered as ‘promising’.”

This happened in Times Square, so there could be a number of different reasons behind the attack. Car hire USA may start finding itself on just as much of a lockdown as their air-travel: well, maybe that’s a push.

Crazy Motorbike Thing

I never had the chance to use one of the ride on american standy-uppy things that were around for a while, but it looks like this is going to be the next version. How long before it’s only seen on the lot of a hollywood film set so the director can get between self-named canvas chairs without actually doing ANYTHING?

What a joy.

It’s only a concept, but one certain Southpark episode springs to mind. lol.
